The Next Generation 2010 Porsche 911 GT3 Will Be Unveiled in Geneva

2009 Porsche 911 GT3 - Front

has just released a press release detailing specifics of the next iteration of the 911 GT3 to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March. The naturally aspirated boxer engine moves up to 3.8-liters which results in a 20 horsepower increase up to 435 bhp. Top speed is rated at 194 mph with a 0 to 60 mph sprint in 4 seconds flat.

The already tight suspension has been stiffened even further but won’t detract from everyday driveability. Porsche Stability Management (PSM) now comes standard. Hard chargers, no worries. Stability and traction control can be disabled for a more exhiliarating ride. Downforce in front and rear have been impressively doubled with improved aerodynamics. And the brakes have shed weight, gained additional ventilation as well as increased size.

Aesthetically speaking, the Porsche 911 GT3 takes on a more aggresive look with larger vents in the front and rear bumper along with new air intakes and outlets. Bi-xenon headlamps and LED rear light clusters are somewhat subtle updates but give the car an air of technological advancement. The car will be available for US purchase in the fall with a target price of $112,200.
