Impuls K101 is an Artsy BMW K100

As technology has evolved, so too has what artists are able to create. Take this stylish custom motorcycle, for instance. It started life as a 1985 BMW K100, but the guys at Impuls – Philipp Wulk and Matthias Pittner – worked with artist Fabian Gatermann to turn this bike into a work of modern motorized art. After Wulk and Pittner applied their custom touches, Gatermann made a 3D scan of the bike, used the resulting 3D model to create the geometric design for the gas tank and tail on his computer, and then hand-painted the design onto the actual motorcycle. The result is a distinctive café racer with one foot (Wheel?) in the past and one in the future. Best of all, it’s for sale through .
